On 28th April, 1915 the 1st Royal Berkshire battalion of 6 Brigade, 2nd Division were in the front line at the Cuinchy brick works when at 8am there was an explosion as bombs (grenades) were being counted prior to handing them over to the relieving battalion. Three men, including Henry Goody were killed. |
